Does Carhartt Still Offer Camouflage Clothing?
What belt size should I order?
For women you would want to choose the belt size that corresponds to your waist size based on the following chart:
XS = Size 0 – 2 = 29 – 30” waist
S = Size 4 – 6 = 31 – 32” waist
M = Size 8 – 10 = 33 – 34” waist
L = Size 12 – 14 = 35 – 37” waist
XL = Size 16 – 18 = 38.5 – 40.5” waist
Of course these recommendations are approximations and are also subject to personal preference and how much you would like your belt to overlap once it is fastened.
You may view our full line of belts by visiting www.carhartt.com and choosing the Men’s or Women’s link. Under each, you will find the Accessories category, which contains our selection of belts.

How Can I Personalize My PVC Garment?
Carhartt understands that many companies must add their name to an employee uniform for identification purposes; and other times a company name is added as a sign of pride in the work of the company and its employees. The only method that Carhartt recommends for personalizing a PVC garment is silk screening. However, it is important to note that a dryer cannot be used to set the screen because it would melt the material. There are special quick drying inks called One Stop or One Step inks that should be used in order to allow the silk screen to air dry on the PVC garment.
If the screen printer does not have experience silk screening PVC garments, it may be a good idea to provide them an inexpensive PVC garment or a swatch of PVC to practice on. Unfortunately, due to the nature of PVC, a silk screen may eventually wear off. There is no way to permanently embellish a PVC garment without damaging it; such as embroidery, which would affect the waterproof feature of PVC rain gear.
To view and purchase our PVC Rainwear, simply visit the “Collections” link above and click on “Carhartt Rainwear.” Here you will find the C64 PVC Rain Coat, the R39 PVC Rain Bib, and the replacement A154 PVC Rain Hood. What is Work-Dry® fabric?
Our Work-Dry® materials are designed to provide two key workwear features: wicking properties and an anti-microbial treatment.
Wicking refers to the garments ability to pull sweat away from the body and push it to the surface of the garment where it evaporates. This prevents perspiration from remaining close to the skin, which can be harmful in both hot and cold weather. In hot conditions, trapped moisture may heat up and lead to fatigue. In cold conditions it may lead to feeling chilly in the body and in extreme cases, hypothermia could occur.
Our highly effective anti-microbial treatment is a substance that kills growth of sweat induced bacteria, fungi, viruses or parasites, effectively eliminating work-related odors. We use the industry leader in topical treatments that eliminates 90% of bacteria and 75% after approximately 20 washings compared to the industry standards of 80% bacteria elimination and 70% after 5 home launderings.
Our Work-Dry® products are available in knit shirts as well as base layers in our Men’s and Women’s lines- just look for the black and white Carhartt logo. We also feature some Work-Dry® items in our High-visibility Workwear, gloves and caps.
So the next time you have a task that requires a little sweat, Carhartt Work-Dry® just might be the perfect fit.
What size should I choose in a bib overall or coverall?
Bib overalls are sized waist by inseam, like pants. Coveralls, on the other hand, are sized by chest size.
If you are purchasing a bib overall to wear over pants, you will want to size up at least two waist sizes from your normal pant size. For example: if you typically wear a size 36x32 in pants, you will want to purchase a bib overall in size 40x32.
If you are purchasing a coverall, start with your true chest measurement and increase it by at least two chest sizes. For example: if your chest measures 40 inches at a full circumference directly below your arms, then you will want to choose a size 44 coverall. The length of a coverall should be selected based on height, below are the heights and options we recommend:
Short 5’3” – 5’7”
Regular 5’7” – 5’11”
Tall 5’11” – 6’3”
There are a few exceptions to our suggestions. If you are going to purchase the following: R38 Duck Zip-to-Waist Biberall; an item from our Extremes Collection (styles R33 or X06); or an item from our Flame-Resistant Line (styles FRR44, FRR45, or FRX007), then you will want to choose your true pant size for bib overalls and your true chest measurement for coveralls.
Due to personal preferences, these suggestions are subjective and are based on general trials during product design as well as customer feedback.

Can my PVC garment be repaired?
Carhartt provides a PVC fabric swatch with each garment that is intended for repairs. To adhere a PVC patch to your garment, turn the garment inside out, apply an all-purpose sealant or PVC glue to the inside of the garment and back of the fabric swatch. Allow the glue get slightly tacky, then press the patch on to the inside of the garment. Apply pressure, wipe off any excess PVC around the edges and allow it to dry under pressure overnight.
Products such as Aqua Seal, Shoe Goo and Sportsman's Goop are similar to liquid PVC glue and make repairs to rainwear, pools and waders quick and easy. These compounds can be applied to damp surfaces and will start to dry immediately. When repairing a PVC garment, apply glue liberally to the outside of the garment along the tear line. The tear will seal when the compound is completely dry.
Of course, the old stand-by for repairing torn rain gear is duct tape, which works fairly well and is often conveniently available on job sites for immediate repairs.
